Sugar-peas my sugar-peas!

I am not sure about why we call these 'sugar-peas' other than they are have a very sweet smell.  Also very pretty as a cut flower and Essie tells me the more you take off the more flowers are produced.  I have theses sugar-peas growing along the path to the front door of our house.  They smell and look fabulous!  I have some more in the vege garden downstairs but I am not confident they will grow to the flower stage as WillaWilla has taken to digging in the garden...........hmmm
